    Confessions of a Nutritionist…..

    Confessions of a Nutritionist …..

I have been writing this blog pretty much anonymously for several years

but today I am going to share A LOT!

After years of good nutritional food and a small fortune spent on supplements I found myself looking and feeling well below par. Several years of high stress and poor sleep had taken a toll and the signs and symptoms were many.

    • Poor sleep with erratic patterns – difficulty falling asleep, waking frequently or early
    • Low energy
    • Poor concentration and hyperactive mind/anxieties
    • Poor digestion and IBS
    • Joint pains and stiffness pretty much everywhere
    • Sinus and throat congestion
    • Ear infections, wax and pain with some loss of hearing and sensitivity to loud noises
    • Dry, irritable eyes
    • Fungal and viral foot infections
    • slow, irregular heartbeat 49-52 average
    • Low Blood Pressure 100/56
    • Lack of appetite
    • Poor blood sugar control, often feeling dizzy or shaky prior to eating.

A lot of these symptoms could be considered sub-clinical disease but at this stage they just spoil your quality of life and make you look tired and worn out as in the picture above. My hair was always dry and thinning a lot, skin and eyes were lack lustre. My dry skin was becoming thin and crêpey and my nails also dry with deep vertical lines and they would laminate and break easily. I knew I had to get myself to a better level of health and get my mojo back!

So I began an overhaul of my diet to get my digestive system working better. After completing The Autoimmune Summit I decided to do an elimination diet and then follow the Alejandro Junger MD ‘Clean Gut’ and ‘Clean Eating’ and after a month felt much better. I had lost 7lbs, had a flatter belly than I had had for years, had less pain in my joints and could even touch my toes. Gluten and Dairy free really suited me. The diet evolved to include rice, mainly brown or Basmati, some potatoes and some gluten free flour products like wraps, pittas and gluten free oats occasionally. I also included plenty of good healthy oils/fats like avocados, olives and olive oil and coconut oil and plenty of Celtic sea salt.

So after several months of adjustments there was quite a lot of improvement – going by the list above about 45% reduction in symptoms but I still wasn’t sleeping any better despite frequent meditation sessions, my brain was still hyperactive, my skin, hair and nails were still suffering and a day looking after young grandchildren would wipe me out.

Then three months ago I discovered a new Mineral supplement that sounded great. This product, Sizzling Minerals, was 100% natural and each wafer contains 600mgs of 75 pure plant minerals that are fully bio-available. Knowing about Mitochondria, energy and ageing – these seemed to be just what I needed. I like to be scientific about things and I always question everything so I took photos of myself and my nails before starting on the minerals. I already knew that I would need to take them for at least 90 days to see the effects but after just 4 days I found I had much more energy and felt happier. After just 5 weeks of taking them I was seeing a difference in the mirror so took the second picture. Then a couple of weeks later this one below to update my social media pictures.

    Not too bad for 64.

I decided to join the Company, Simply Naturals as a Distributor. Their mission is to get 1 million people on Sizzling Minerals and feeling better and that is something I am enjoying being a part of. If you are a professional and would like to do the same click here for more info. So after 90 days I am sharing my health transition with you.

    • My sleep is dramatically better, I frequently fall asleep straight away, sleep for 6-7 hours and then wake gradually feeling refreshed and relaxed.
    • My concentration is 100 better, much more focused and no brain chatter!
    • Energy levels are really good – now I tire the grandchildren out. I have completed 3 on-line Nutrition courses and I am learning a lot of internet and Social Media Skills
    • My digestion is good and IBS gone, I feel hungry more often and enjoy my food more
    • All foot infections finally disappeared.
    • No ear or sinus problems
    • No more dry eyes
    • Blood pressure and pulse improved B/P 125/60
    • Skin and hair improved
    • Nails getting smoother, shiny and strong

So I feel completely confident in saying that EVERYONE needs minerals because they are so obviously missing in our food these days. Sizzling Minerals are a ground-breaking product that supplies what your body is craving ( I no longer crave chocolate by the way – so I know my body has enough Magnesium now!) and for less than the cost of a cup of coffee. They come in wafers in a choice of four flavours – Natural, Cherry, Orange and Lemon/Lime for a refreshing fizzy drink, powder or capsules if you prefer.

They get to every cell, they detoxify, they help oxygenate the tissues, they are involved in enzyme production and they act as co-factors to vitamins to make any other supplements you take work more efficiently. They are essential for good health.

Try them for 90 days yourself and let me know how you get on.

    Latest Health Books

A review of three of the latest health books to help you regain your health and energy.

The first is “The adrenal reset diet” by Dr Alan Christianson and explains an easy way to reset you adrenals by cycling carbohydrates and protein. It is thoroughly tested and this is how Dr Christianson and his family live and eat on a normal basis. If you are suffering from a chronic disease and lack energy then this book will certainly be of interest to you. Please let me know how you get on.

The second book is by Dr Frank Lipman “The New Health Rules” and I love the title of this one. Health information is changing rapidly, sugar is the bad guy, not all fats, how we need daily sunlight, how to prevent Alzheimer’s and much more information that helps us realise the important facts despite all the contradictory information that we are given.

The third book is “The Autoimmune Solution” by Dr Amy Myers. Out as Kindle version on 27th January 2015 and hardback 26th February 2015 it can be pre-ordered now. Dr. Myers, who had an autoimmune disease herself, ran The Autoimmune Seminar last year and interviewed many of the foremost doctors and nutritionists spreading the knowledge around the world. For anyone that missed the seminar or found themselves unable to take in all the information, this book will be the perfect reference guide to help you take control of your condition or prevent it developing.

GcMaf – A breakthrough in Cancer Treatment

GcMaf is the abbreviation for “Gc-protein-derived macrophage activating factor”. It is found naturally in the body but there is now a way of administering it as a replacement therapy when the body’s defences aren’t doing enough. Macrophages are the white cells that go in like ‘Pac man’ and engulf and digest foreign substances, microbes and cancer cells in a process called phagocytosis.

Interestingly it is completely in line with all the nutritional guidelines that have been developing for the treatment of Autoimmune Diseases that I have been writing about in Millenniumhealth blog. Diseases know to be affected by GcMaf are Cancer, Kidney disease, AIDS, Autism, Thyroid Disease, Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis, Lyme Disease, Colitis, Crohn’s Disease, Fibromyalgia, Cirrhosis of Liver, wound healing, Osteoporosis, Dementia, Parkinson’s , Rheumatoid Arthritis, and other autoimmune diseases.

The treatment regime is called “The Swiss Protocol” and involves-

    • Total body ultrasound to establish the extent of the disease followed by an individual treatment plan.
    • High protein, low carbohydrate, ant-inflammatory and detoxing diet – so essentially a Paleo-ketogenic diet
    • Amino acid supplements in the case of cancer and Autism
    • Bravo Probiotic Yogurt and suppositories that have over 40 strains of friendly probiotic bacteria  and these produce the enzymes needed to activate GcMaf.
    • GOleic -which is a combination of GcMaf, Oleic Acid a monosaturated (Omega-9) fatty acid and vitamin D. This can be administered in a variety of ways:- injection, drops under the tongue, enemas, suppositories, nebuliser (spray), ointment and mouthwash.
The Company producing GOleic is called Immuno Biotec (Guernsey) and they also sell Bravo Probiotic yogurt.
For more information go to www.gcmaf.eu
More than 60 peer reviewed research papers have been produced by 154 scientists who have trialled
it on a range of different diseases. There are approximately 300 doctors following the protocol and there are some amazing stories of recovery (even from stage 4 cancers) as well as some considerable improvement in patients with Autism. Some people do not respond to the protocol but then they may have already received treatment like chemotherapy and radiation and their detoxifying capability and nutritional status may be compromised. It is relatively early days but all this sounds extremely promising and clinical trials are ongoing.
The two scientists responsible for this discovery were hounded from their home Country and set up a clinic in Switzerland. As with all non-conventional treatments, that cannot be patented by drug companies, they will have many other false claims and bad press along the way but I am sure they will continue their promising work.

    Diet, Nutrition, Lifestyle…….

    diet and nutrition for health

Well it is Monday 10th November and The Autoimmune Summit has started! So much amazing information on diet, nutrition, lifestyle and a positive attitude that can turn your health around.

I have to admit to being a very impatient person and so I paid for access to everything up front and  I am probably ahead of most people listening and getting the transcripts but I just wanted to share something that really hit home with me. Last night I was listening to Dr. Datis Kharrazian talking about The Thyroid and Autoimmunity and towards the end of his interview he mentioned how stress can cause a rise in interleukin-6 which raises Th17 (cells that are key contributors to inflammation and autoimmunity) and cause flare-ups.

As Dr. Kharrazian says “Do you have passion, love, are you doing what you want to do? Do you wake up happy and excited? If not you need to change your life because this is not going to go away just by taking vitamin D.” and “at the same time when people just have someone to touch them and be compassionate and healing, we all get opiate responses and opiate responses activate regulatory T cells which prevent autoimmunity.”

Negativity, anger, resentment are not good emotions for anyone’s health but for autoimmunity, or cancer or anyone with chronic pain it can be very devastating to keep feeding that. So how do you go about changing this. Dr. Kharrazion says “Don’t play victim: don’t play poor me; don’t feel like the world’s against you, like you’ve got all the bad taken in life. Rise up to the occasion, take control of your life, you can control your autoimmunity, you can control your lifestyle. Third part is to be a scholar. Educate yourself. You need to be smarter than any doctor you’ll see. This about your health, this about your life and no one knows better than you.”

Chronic ill health and pain can wear anyone down but you need tools to help keep you positive. For me this means not dwelling on negativity in life, not reading newspapers, doing what I can for charity and change in the World but not feeling guilty that I am incapable of solving every problem.

Cultivate gratitude, possibly by writing down everything you are grateful for on a weekly or daily basis. Follow sites or Blogs that re-enforce that attitude and share on social media to spread the positive. I will end with a this….

    A beautiful day

    HEALING YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

    Healing your immune system

A Guide to healing your immune system.

There is an epidemic of Chronic ill health and Autoimmune diseases that equals the epidemic of cancer at present and Doctors have been struggling to cope.

The range of these diseases starts with annoying symptoms of skin problems, poor digestion, food sensitivities, Allergies, Joint pains, IBS, Irritable bladder, hormone problems and brain fog to incapacitating problems like Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, ME, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Autism and Alzheimer’s.

The latest research that links all of these is that an imbalance of gut bacteria and damage to the lining of the gut. When the gut is healthy it can keep out external triggers but when it is damaged and the delicate balance of bacteria is upset it can lead to all kinds of symptoms and to autoimmunity, where the body attacks it’s own tissue and not just invading organisms.

There are many things that can attack and lead to a breakdown in our gut lining, chronic use of anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID’s) Antibiotics, Chemotherapy, Radiation treatment, Alcohol, poor diet, acute or chronic stress, environmental toxins and food toxins like gluten and sugar.

So treatment begins with removing the harmful triggers, healing the gut with diet and supplements, making sure you are free from infection and parasites and then supporting the body back to an energised and healthy state.

If you want to feel well again then start eliminating the triggers, changing your diet and lifestyle and working your way back to vibrant health.

    If you start from

    1. Leaky Gut – do the quiz then go to
    2. Healing your digestive tract
    3. Clean Gut and extra supplements
    4. Help with your detox diet 1 – Sugar
    5. Help with your detox diet 2 – Meal Planning

Also you can find more information on You Tube, blogs and from fantastic on-line Summits like The Autoimmune Summit with Dr. Amy Myers

You can start feeling considerably better within two weeks of starting – as we did. If you do please share your progress with us all in comments.

  • Autoimmune diseases/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ Immune system - healing/ ME/ Nutritional Medicine/ Supplements

Next step – Clean Gut .

Next step in Healing your Digestive Tract helps to clean the gut of any underlying infection or parasites – which are much more common than people think.

Always start by following the “heal your gut” recommendations and the imbalance in the microbiome called Dysbiosis and/or SIBO in Healing your Digestive Tract and Leaky Gut –  to create a healing environment before going on to this next stage.

So after 2 weeks on your ‘real food’ diet you should be feeling lighter and more energetic. If you have a problem with parasites you will already have weakened them because you have taken away their favourite foods – sugar and carbohydrates!

At this stage it is important to pay attention to your digestion, bowel function and poo as this will indicate how things are working. Has it changed since starting the new regime?

Hopefully, constipation shouldn’t be an issue with all the extra vegetables and magnesium but if it is

    1. add more fibre by grinding flax seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds and sprinkling them over food or into smoothies.
    2. Take a spoonful of omega 3 oil or olive oil prior to a meal.
    3. Start the day with a mug of hot water with a slice of ginger and a slice of lemon in it.
    4. Try taking a digestive enzyme tablet with each meal.
    5. Add some fermented food like saurkraut,  kimchi or non-dairy kefir to your diet.
    6. Drink some coconut milk/water.
    7. increase the magnesium to 400mgs 3 times a day or take Milk of Magnesia.

If your bowels were loose or erratic before, have they become normal and formed over the past couple of weeks?

If they haven’t or you still have wind, bloating, pain and loose stools then there is a strong possibility that you have a residual infection or parasite problem. Other indications of this may be

    • sleep problems
    • changes to nails -splitting, vertically ridged, dry and weak.
    • tongue having a white or yellow coating first thing in the morning.
    • Fatigue
    • Mucous in the stool – this is produced by the bowel trying to protect the body from toxicity and as an inflammatory reaction therefore a strong sign that you need to clean up your gut more.

If you can get a stool test done by your doctor then please do but if not here is a list of herbal supplements that are anti-microbial and/or anti-parasitic. Most of these should not be taken while pregnant so check with a pharmacist.

    • Sweet Wormwood (or Artemesia Annua)
    • Cloves
    • Garlic(preferably raw)
    • Oregano oil
    • Grapefruit seed oil
    • Black Walnut
    • Goldenseal

Berberine (Barberry) is also a used as it has shown properties to get rid of many pathogens but also help heal the gut. I don’t think it is available to buy over the counter in Europe now but I ordered it over the internet as Phyto-Biotic Immune from Enzymatic but you might find other  sources.

Some supplements contain other herbs and spices to help calm and heal the gut. I found a good one from Denmark called ‘dida‘  which is cinnamon based (a good anti-inflammatory) and worked well.

Sometimes the supplements come as drops that you add to water, like Para-Cleanse from Harmonic Health in Kent, UK.

Parasites have quite a long life-cycle and you don’t want to kill the parasites to find that fresh eggs hatch 2-3 weeks later and you are back with the same problem. Continue the treatment for a month and maybe then even do another couple of weeks with a different product or take some Aloe Vera juice before each meal to prevent a re-infection. Slippery Elm is another product that can help coat the gut lining and prevent re-infestation while healing.

This subject sometimes really freaks people out but it is possible to have parasites and flukes and infection in your gut for years. If you have ever had a really bad “tummy bug” and taken a while to recover it is possible that the infection has remained and is what is causing you to be malnourished and inflamed now – so if in doubt – get them out!

    Healing your Digestive Tract

Healing your Digestive Tract and Leaky Gut is the key to your Health

    You can definitely do this!

Terry Wahls MD has Multiple Sclerosis and had been in a wheelchair for 5 years and by changing her diet and nutrition she made an amazing recovery. You can find  information on “The Wahls Protocol” on this 4 min video here. After just a Year she was able to do an 18 mile bike ride. Now I wouldn’t promise that you could do this (as I certainly can’t cycle that far!) but get the right mind set. As she says “The Magic is in the food. If you don’t change your diet and you just take supplements – you are wasting your money“.

What I am suggesting here is going to be the basic guidelines and if you want to know more I will point you in the direction of quality, easy to follow information.

    So let’s get started!

First of all you need to prepare so that you can start in a methodical way and not get overwhelmed by the changes.

Shop for the foods and supplements you need. You will need to eat more vegetables than you are probably used to so buy plenty of these but only as much as you can keep fresh at any one time. These are the things you will choose from to make meals in the first 14+ days and then we will add in some more.

    Shopping list

    • Meat and fish – buy the best quality you can afford and nothing that has been processed. If you can get organic and free range then all the better. If you buy a quality whole chicken then you will be able to get more than one meal out of it and boil the bones up to make a good broth/soup that is beneficial to the immune system. Lambs liver is cheap and nutritious if you like it.
    • Vegetables – broccoli, cauliflower, salads, fresh herbs, all leafy greens, squash, tomatoes, cucumber, fennel, mushrooms, asparagus, bean-sprouts, bell peppers, onions, garlic, avocado.
    • Fruit – all fresh and frozen berries, lemons and limes.
    • Nuts and seeds – all kinds except peanuts as they are technically legumes (starchy vegetables). They can be toasted and sprinkled on salad.
    • Fats and oils – Olive oil cold pressed if possible,  walnut, almond, flax. Coconut oil and coconut butter are especially important as they have the ability to help you get rid of any unwanted yeast levels in the body and are a healthy form of saturated fat that is important in healing.
    • Dairy Substitutes -Almond milk, coconut milk, other nut milks. Coconut or nut milk Kefir,  Eggs.
    • Drinks – filtered water, mineral water, green and herbal teas (peppermint, ginger and fennel teas are especially good to help soothe the digestion.) Miso soup and coconut water. Apparently Yerba mate tea is very good if you are giving up coffee.
    • Kitchen staples – Apple cider vinegar, all spices, herbs, carob, sugar free raw chocolate (it is possible to make this yourself with cacao butter and cacao powder and I will do a post on this as it is brilliant), mustard and Celtic sea salt or Sel de Guerande from France as these salts are full of natural minerals and therefore not white. Sweeteners Stevia or xylitol if required but I prefer to leave sugar out completely for the elimination diet and I don’t like sweeteners.

This is wonderful, real food and you will quickly start to feel better and have more energy than usual.

You may get some ‘odd’ symptoms within the first week. These could include aches and pains where you haven’t previously had them, headache, strange dreams and better dream recall, changes in bowel habit and sleepiness. Most of this can be put down to your body detoxing and should not be severe. Drink more, especially water and this should help. If you have been a coffee addict and you give it up suddenly you may get quite a severe, migraine like headache. I would suggest giving it up by cutting down slowly.

    SUPPLEMENTS.

In the first couple of weeks you should start with

    • L-Glutamine 500mg -1000mgs per day -an amino acid that can help the gut heal
    • Vitamin B complex 50 or Chlorella tablets (start with 2 twice a day and gradually work up to 15 a day)
    • Vitamin D3 1000iu a day
    • Omega 3 fish oils or Krill oil. If you have problems with fish then try Flax seed oil
    • A good Probiotic with over 5 billion live cultures twice a day.
    • Saccharomyces Boulardii probiotic which is actually a tropical yeast culture made from lychee and mangosteen that can kill certain gut infections like Clostridium difficle, E Coli and Salmonella but if you have blood in your stool, as in Crohn’s disease or Ulcerative Colitis do not take this supplement without medical advice. If you have blood in your stool and you don’t know the reason, see your doctor!
    • Magnesium which can be taken by spraying on the skin or preferably have a Sizzling Mineral drink that you sip throughout the day. This is a natural plant based mineral supplement that contains 75 minerals that are bio-available even to a damaged gut. They are available to buy in Europe and the USA and are expanding worldwide.  See video and shop here.

N.B. If you have been ill with cancer or have any other illnesses  or treatment that mean you have a low white blood count or are immuno-compromised you should speak with you Doctor before starting this regime. For children follow the intake recommended on the supplement.

Next step is to get a large shopping bag or box and clear out all your kitchen cupboards and fridge of the things you should not eat while on this detox. Out of sight – out of mind! We hope.

Wheat and other grains, oats, Barley, Rice, Corn and their flours. Even gluten free varieties.

Dairy, milk, butter, cream and ice cream, cheese and yogurt and for the first 3 weeks at least sheep and goat products as well.

Sugar and all sweeteners except the ones on your shopping list

    Alcohol

    caffeine

    Potatoes or sweet potatoes

    soy and soya products

all other fruit and fruit juices

Finally gather more information and recipes and make a menu plan for a few days. If you want a cookbook Clean Eats by Alejandro Junger MD is full of great ideas and you can also find lots on the internet – try searching for wheat and dairy free or Paleo but check ingredients list against what is allowed at least in the first 2-3 weeks. if you have Autoimmune disease there are even recipes for Paleo autoimmune protocol which leaves out the nightshade vegetables. If you sign up to Pinterest you can save your favourite recipes and ideas easily. There are loads of websites and Blogs where you can get free information and recipes.

Breakfast can be the one meal that people have the most trouble with but try to have some protein like eggs(with spinach maybe). Home-made smoothies can be a very nutritious start to the day, especially if you are in a hurry or not used to eating breakfast add a spoon of almond butter or a handful of nuts and seeds to add protein and stop you from feeling hungry by mid morning.

You should not be hungry on this diet. It will stabilise your blood sugar. Have a few nuts and seeds (like sunflower or pumpkin) with you for if you get hungry or are late with a meal. Your lunch and dinner should be mainly vegetables or salad with maybe olive oil and lemon juice as a dressing and a medium portion of protein. If you want to stir fry it is best to use coconut oil as this stays stable at higher temperatures.

I found that because of putting more thought into meals and food combinations I started to enjoy my meals more. Try not to concentrate on what you are not able to eat and remember that as your health starts to improve you will feel better than any “treat” made you feel!

Leaky Gut – Quiz and Video

Or to use the Medical term “Intestinal permeability” is being researched all over the world. There is a Leaky Gut Quiz and Video link on this post to help understand the condition. Leaky Gut is a condition where some of the tight junctions in your intestines become faulty and foreign particles that should have been eliminated  leak through into your body and cause an immune response,  inflammation and trigger chronic disease. The symptoms can vary depending on where the particles end up and can affect your digestive system, your skin, your nervous system and your hormonal system, Thyroid and Adrenal Glands. Leaky gut can caused or be made worse by infections like Candida, Clostridium Difficile (C Diff ) or others, Parasites or antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs like NSAID’s, Alcohol and food intolerances.

Hippocrates is quoted as saying “that all disease begins in the gut” so that is where we are going to start, even if you do not have much in the way of gut symptoms. 30% of people with Leaky Gut do not have gut symptoms.

As a fast and interesting way to start I would like to suggest that you try this Quiz to how likely it is that you have a Leaky Gut.

The next post will be about how to set about healing your gut by diet, supplements and lifestyle changes so if you want help in learning how to heal yourself then follow my blog and I will do my best to help you through it and to better health by using all the best resources available.

    Autoimmune disease epidemic

    The Truth About Cancer

We are in the midst of an Autoimmune disease epidemic. Multiple Sclerosis, Type 1 Diabetes, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Thyroid disease, Lupus, Gout, Autism, ADHD, some forms of cancer and hundreds of others either confirmed as Autoimmune or highly suspected to be. The numbers of people affected now exceeds the number of people with both heart disease and Cancer combined, which is more than 50 million in the USA alone! If you are worried about your health and want to start helping yourself or your family right now then start discovering proven ways you can change your diet, feel better and end the pain and life limiting effects of chronic disease.

It was because my Mother had Rheumatoid arthritis that I became interested in and started studying Nutrition, about 35 years ago. We always felt that there was a strong relationship with the food she ate and the progression of her disease but try as I might I was unable to get her to change her diet. I felt that milk and wheat were the possible foods causing her trouble but she would not give up milk because she felt she needed it for her bones and nothing would change her mind – she would drink at least a pint a day. She did try to go wheat free but only lasted 3 days and said that she felt ill, weak, had a constant headache and low mood – all things I now know to be withdrawal symptoms from the narcotic effects of wheat itself. The progression of her disease was relentless and in addition to the painful and disabling joint changes she developed Sjogren’s Syndrome(an auto-immune condition where the body’s immune system attacks glands that secrete fluid, such as the tears and salivary glands), heart failure and adrenal failure.

Over the last few years my focus has been more on the cancer epidemic but then my son became ill and it took me a while but eventually we managed to come up with a diagnosis of Reiter’s Syndrome – another autoimmune disease that causes a reactive arthritis plus other symptoms of inflammation. As with my mother, Autoimmunity often involves more than one reaction in the body and he also has Celiac, Eczema, Sjogren’s syndrome(dry eyes) and Lichen Planus a non infectious skin condition.

So I have come full circle and am back investigating autoimmune diseases again and everything else that now appears to be connected to inflammation that starts in the gut.

Over the last few years an amazing amount of progress has been made in this field – almost all of it in America. The Americans have had Naturopathic Doctors or Medical Doctors who have taken up Functional Medicine, where Doctors look for the cause and don’t just treat the symptoms and so it has been possible for those with a more Holistic view of health to discover the total body connections more easily than those who have a more ‘body systems’ approach and an early entry into specialisation.

I have recently completed The Detox Summit on-line and have learnt so much. My son had been dairy free for awhile but was still not as well as we would like and following the Summit we both went on a months detox diet.

The results were quick and dramatic.

Within the month my son lost 3lbs, had more energy, no painful joints, no more stomach pains or bowel problems and his eczema cleared up completely.

I lost 5lbs, became free of aches and pains, more flexible and could touch my toes or the floor with ease,  no more pains in back or ankles or swelling of hands and ankles, sinus problems and mucous in throat at night disappeared, anxiety and palpitations ended, stomach bloating and pains vanished and bowel movements became normal.

There was also an effect of mental clarity and better dream recall that I think we both felt. We then continued with a natural, fresh diet leaving out processed foods and gradually reintroduced some foods and watched for reactions. We took supplements to help heal the gut and to rebuild a good Microbiome of beneficial bacteria in the gut. More Posts will follow to help you do the same.
